Weekend Format Saturday/Saturday Format Upcoming Dates for August 21 & 22 The PADI Open Water Diver certification is the most coveted scuba certification in the world. Through class, pool and open water training you will learn all about scuba gear, important skills and cool diver lingo that you can use to impress your friends. Class and Pool Training: In the pool you will start off in the shallow end showing off your bubble blowing techniques and learning the skills you'll need for the open water. As you get the hang of it you'll progress into the deep end where you can feel like an astronaut in space as you fine tune your buoyancy. You'll also get the chance to demonstrate your comfort in water by doing a distance swim and a 10 min float in the deep end. For the class and pool portion we offer several schedule options for this course so there's sure to be one to match your needs. Weekend course eLearning course Open Water Dives: Locally Referral AquaSub Scuba has a sister company "AquaSub Travel" that is a TICO registered travel agency that specializes in scuba travel. So we would love to help you book your vacation and connect you with a PADI centre at your destination. Just speak with one of our trained travel consultants. Tropical Trips Full Package Special $299 eLearning Package $120 USD + $150 CAD Open Water Dives $150 What you'll need: bathing suit, wetsuit (optional for the pool but recommended), personal gear*, and scuba gear* for the open water Personal gear: This is all the stuff that is going to be in your mouth and on your feet or face. So you'll want to have your own mask, fins, snorkel and mouthpieces. These are available for purchase in our pro shop and as our open water diver student you will save 10% on your purchase of a mask, fins and snorkel set. Scuba gear: Many of our students fall in love with diving right from the pool and purchase their own gear before the open water dives. For this reason we have seperated the rental of the scuba gear for the open water. If you wish to rent the equipment needed you will receive 40% off our regular weekend rental rates which will make the rental of all the gear approximately $140.00. Prices are in Canadian Dollars unless otherwise noted and do not included HST.

PADI OPEN WATER DIVER
First you'll start off with meeting you instructor and fellow divers in training at the store where your instructor will take you through an orientation. Throughout the class sessions your instructor will go over with you the knowledge reviews in your manual that you'll have completed ahead of time. You will also get to watch some exciting PADI videos that help make all the information make sense. Your instructor will guide you through the process of setting up and breaking down the equipment and teach you the tricks to do it like a pro.

Complete the Open Water Diver eLearning course whenever and wherever you want over the internet then join us for the pool sessions either Friday 6pm-9:30pm & Saturday 4pm-8pm or 2 Saturday 4pm-8pm.
Within 12 months of completing the class and pool training through any of the 3 options above you will need to complete 4 open water dives with a PADI Instrutor to earn the PADI Open Water Diver certification card. This card is great for pulling out at bars to impress people. Here are a few different options for doing the open water dives:
We offer the open water checkout dives locally on weekends between June and September. You will join us for an additional pool session on the Friday night to refresh your skills and to do a weight check with the super hero like wetsuits that you'll wear in the open water. On Saturday and Sunday you will meet your instructor at the lake (just 10 mins from the store) to do 2 dives each day.
If your heading off to an exotic destination most of our instructors are willing to travel in your luggage to do your dives with you. But if you don't want to pay for the extra weight we will provide you with a referral form that you can proudly present to any PADI Dive Centre or Instructor in the world and they will be able to the open water dives with you.
We organize a number of group trips to tropical destinations and there is always an AquaSub PADI Pro guiding the trip that would be more than happy to complete your dives with you. Non-divers are also welcome on most of our tropical trips so you can bring your spouse, family or friend with you too!Prices:
